What is Community Energy?

Community energy is all about coming together to create local solutions for a cleaner, more sustainable future. By setting up renewable energy systems, we can generate our own clean power, cut down on pollution and energy poverty and ease the burden of high energy costs. Working together means we find the best energy options for our community, while sharing the benefits locally.

Empowering Communities for a Greener Future and lower energy bills.

Our goals for 2025 and beyond include:

  • Roll-out our community engagement program now and into the future to involve as many people, groups and organisations as possible in creating and running a thriving  community energy program across the city of Leeds.

  • Working with interested organisations to deliver renewable energy projects that benefit community organisations, our community as a whole and the planet.

  • Collaborate and work with other established and grass roots groups locally and across the country to support shared learning and progress at a local and national level.
