Ian started his career as a teacher before becoming Operations Director at a medical informatics company, driving innovation in the medical IT sector and directing the implementation of quality assurance systems. He was project director with oversight for implementing national and international installations. He then returned to teaching Computer Science and IT, blending technical expertise with mentoring young people. Ian also helps run and organise a local repair cafe group.
His volunteering work focuses on sustainability, local empowerment, and community causes.

Cath is a dedicated member of Alwoodley 2030 and has been involved since its inception. With a background in the NHS and education, she now works as a senior activity worker at a care farm. She is also a Forest School leader and scout leader,
Cath is deeply committed to supporting community sustainability and woodland creation initiatives.

Raymond is an experienced company director with a scientific and corporate background. He has extensive experience as CEO of an AIM-quoted company, gaining leadership expertise in innovative companies, and has held numerous non-executive roles.
He is committed to driving the transition towards sustainable and efficient energy solutions.

Paul is Professor of Urban Futures in the School of Geography at the University of Leeds, where his work addresses pressing climate, nature and social challenges. His career spanning 25 years is defined by a commitment to bridging academic research, public policy and community-led action for just and sustainable change.

Jane spent her career as an academic, manager, and consultant in Built Environment higher education, specialising in work-based learning and community regeneration.
Deeply committed to sustainability, Jane dedicates her time to volunteering for initiatives that create positive change in communities and the environment.

Walt brings nearly 25 years’ experience as an NHS analyst, combining strong data insight with a clear commitment to community impact. He is a Trustee of Eco-friendly Garforth, where he leads the local Repair Café and supports a range of sustainability initiatives across the area.

He continues to build on this knowledge through regular volunteering with York Community Energy.

Lucy is a freelance environmental practitioner with a strong background in community climate action. She led housing and energy work for Climate Action Leeds, helping to establish Leeds Community Energy, and coordinated the Zero Carbon Yorkshire network.
