Text Size Control
How to adjust: Press Ctrl (+) or Ctrl (-) (Windows) or Command (+) or Command (-) (Mac) to zoom in or out. In settings, look for "Zoom" or "Font Size" options to set a default size.
High Contrast Mode
How to adjust: Go to Settings > Accessibility or use an extension that applies high contrast mode. On Windows or Mac, users can also activate high contrast through system settings.
Screen Reader Compatibility
How to adjust: Enable your operating system's screen reader: use Narrator on Windows, VoiceOver on Mac, or TalkBack on Android. Most browsers support screen readers, so make sure it’s turned on in the system settings.
Keyboard Navigation
How to adjust: Use Tab to move forward through clickable elements and Shift + Tab to move backward. Press Enter to activate links and buttons. Check browser settings under Accessibility to ensure keyboard shortcuts are enabled.
Closed Captions and Transcripts
How to adjust: In video players, look for a CC button to enable captions. Many browsers also allow users to turn on automatic captions in the Accessibility settings.
Adjustable Colour and Brightness
How to adjust: Go to Settings > Accessibility to adjust contrast and colour filters. Night or dark mode can be enabled in most browsers under Appearance or Display settings.
Pause, Stop, or Hide Animations
How to adjust: Use Esc to pause some animations. Some browsers offer "Reduce Motion" options under Settings > Accessibility. Users can also turn off animations in system settings on both Windows and Mac.
Easy-to-Read Fonts
How to adjust: Increase font size in Settings > Appearance > Font Size. Many browsers also support reading extensions that change fonts to more accessible options.
